A Production of Space

University of Westminster | 2013

Situated in the non-space of an Oxford street carpark, A production of Space is a robotic assembled transformable living space formed by the proportional system of the human body, the design is both contextually driven, and contextually detached from the car park, allowing visitors to sleep, shower and work floating above their car.

The design integrates a data collection system using sensors to record movements during thei users stay. This data is synchronised with the movement of a robotic art that creates abstract depictions as  art work the represents the every day life of the inhabitant.
